He was Treasurer of N.C. during the Rev. War (1777-1778). His will was proven in Granville Co., N.C. and is recorded in Will Book 7, page 1. Dates from "A Record of the Howard & Hunt Families" by B. A. Howard, who also stated his grandfather Hunt "lived on Grassy Creek".
