Some researchers believe his name was Christopher HUNT and his wife was Caty Blassingame of V A and Granville CO. NC.Have no proof, but Bill Hunt of Fairport, N.Y. and Clara Hunt Miller
of Ca. believe Christopher to be a s/o Ralph III and brother to Memucan.
Christopher transfered 100 acres of land in Anson Co., N. Carolina
"granted to me 24 Apr. 1762" and was in Cheraw Dist., Craven Co., S. Carolina when he sold th is on 10 March 1763 to William S. Sherley.
See Mitchell Hunt's mss. on this individual in my file. Served in the Continental line, Rev . War record #3877-B. He died of smallpox, intestate.
His wife, Catey, was administratrix of his estate. Moved from Granville Co., N.C. to near L ynches' Creek, S.C. between 1774 and 1776, apparently. Lived "less than 18 miles from Camden ".
On pg. 82 of Andrea I, Andrea is speaking of the will of Thomas
Blassingame Hunt and states: "This family of Hunt in my extensive Hunt ms. came with Blassing ames and others from old Cheraw and Georgetown Dist....He was a son of Christopher Hunt who w ed Catey Blassingame...all came down from
Virginia via N.C."

Many reseachers beleive Christopher and Caty to be the parents of John Hunt who married Marth a Jenkins.
THis is based on Christopher Hunt being in Virginia, Granville Co. NC and Anson Co. NC in clo se proximity to various Blassingham families. Later a James Blassingham family was closely si tuated to John Hunt and Martha Jenkins in Bracken Co. KY.
The best link is that James Hunt a possible brother of John Hunt states he was born in 1765 i n Granville Co. NC and moved with his father to Hanging Rock Creek now on the border of Kersh aw and Lancaster Counties SC shortly before the Revolution. He later moved to SUmner Co TN wh ere his daughter Elizabeth married Richard Senter and moved to Wayne Co. ILL, which was par t of and now next to Edwards Co. ILL , where John Hunt settled and died.
I believe Christopher is a possible parent but this is not proved due to lack of any direct e vidence or surviving records.
